Barbara has over 10 years of
experience designing, managing, and implementing strategic communications programs in the high
tech, government, non-profit and telecom industries. She is highly accomplished in
business-to-business and business-to-government marketing communications as well as in branding.
Prior to joining
APCG, Barbara led marketing,
communications, public relations, and employee relations efforts for various private organizations
that provided workforce development, information operations, and management consulting services to
federal, state, and local government agencies. Since graduating from American University with a
degree in communications (with an emphasis on print journalism and sociology), Barbara has worked
in virtually every area of strategic communications, including as a graphics designer, production
associate, marketing communications manager and consulting principal. Outside of work, Barbara
actively participates in the lives of her two children and enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and
physical fitness.

Susan has 18 years of
general experience in business analysis, research, coaching, and consulting in the public and
private sectors, focused primarily on helping professionals clarify, measure, and communicate the
value they and their departments bring to their organizations.A
Ph.D. economist who transitioned to executive
coaching, Susan has managed people and programs in corporate, trade association, academic, and non
profit organizational settings. Susan's business economics background and coaching experience
combine to enable her to establish rapport quickly and to communicate effectively with business,
policy, human resources, and financial professionals, to help them refine and enhance their
organization's effectiveness. Susan currently focuses on working with public sector organizations
to clarify strategic results, develop effective measures to evaluate performance, and drive
performance management to the individual employee level. Susan began her professional career as a
research assistant to the Director of Economic Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute,
and has served as economics lecturer at local universities. Susan holds a
Ph.D. in Economics from the University of
Rochester, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics from Wellesley College. She received her
Leadership Coaching certificate from the Georgetown University Center for Professional
Development. Susan lives happily with her husband, two dogs, and two cats in Arlington, VA.

Beth has over 26 years
experience in strategic marketing and communications for both the public and private sectors. Her
expertise includes competitive positioning and branding, integrated marketing communications using
traditional and digital media, customer relationship management and retention strategies, sales
lead generation, and strategic message development. Beth has held senior marketing positions in the
higher education, software, and defense industries. Prior to joining
APCG she held positions of Acting
Associate Dean for Executive Education and Assistant Dean for External Affairs at the Smith School
of Business, University of Maryland. Beth's
APCG clients include the
Department of Defense Business Transformation Agency, Defense Information Systems Agency, Office of
the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller),
U.S. Navy Chief Information Officer, and the Office of
Management and Budget, Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office. Beth has an
MBA from Johns Hopkins University and
a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Her creative
passion is the decorative arts and professional faux finishing. Beth and her husband David live in
Brookeville, Maryland.

Eric is a seasoned
organizational consultant and manager with nearly 20 years of experience as a professional
communicator, project manager and consultant to organizational leadership. Eric conducts change
management and communication efforts for federal clients in support of transformational and
technology assimilation initiatives. Throughout his career, Eric has worked with public- and
private-sector clients on strategic transformation and communication initiatives. Prior to his
career as a consultant, Eric was a sportswriter, newspaper editor, corporate communicator,
executive speechwriter, marketing manager and account executive for an advertising agency. His
personal interests include writing, sports and participation in charity golf events, races and
events that benefit at-risk youth, scholarship funds and cancer research. Eric lives in St. Louis,
Missouri, with his wife, Katy. Their son Jack William, born in 2005, is a fifth-generation St.
Louis Cardinals fan and promising young southpaw.

Rick has 20 years of public
and private sector experience in driving organizational and individual performance. He specializes
in establishing organizational systems which consistently build value by incorporating a
disciplined and pragmatic approach to performance measurement, management, and continuous
improvement. Rick has worked extensively within the
U.S. Department of Defense,
U.S. Coast Guard, and with many other clients on
large-scale business reform and transformation efforts. In addition, he has provided performance
consulting and coaching directly to many
CEOs and their senior teams in the private
sector, and has held numerous executive roles within hardware and software high tech companies.
Rick has Masters degrees in Computer Science and Chemistry, and is a recent graduate of the
Industry Advisory Council's (IAC) 2005
IT Partners Program. He has served as president
of the Tucson, Arizona software industry association, where he launched an annual software skills
competition for area high school students. He lives with his wife of 26 years, their 8 1/2 year old
son, and new "schnoodle" puppy near Frederick, Maryland, and enjoys reading and listening to books
on tape.

Melanie has over 30 years of financial management experience with both Appropriated and Working Capital Funds within the Department of Defense. Her assignments have included the Air National Guard, the Air Force Reserves, the Pentagon, and four Major Commands including USTRANSCOM. She is known as a hands-on, proactive leader for her exceptional program and project management of financial issues. Melanie has led organization restructuring, financial and strategic planning, and operational improvements, and brings a wealth of experience in process improvements, resource management, manpower and personnel. Since joining APCG, she’s been actively involved in change and transformation efforts for the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), focusing on outreach to leaders and stakeholders.

Denise has over 15 years
experience in distributed technology/business management and business integration consulting from
various Fortune 500 Companies, combined with time served in the United States Army. Her
professional toolbox overflows with successful implementations of web-based applications and
conversions of business systems. At
APCG, she is integrating Role
Mapping and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) concepts in preparation of business and system
changes. This work spans several military commands, which are relying on her extensive background
to marry all agencies in one enterprise. Denise holds a
MS in Management focused on Leadership and
Organization Effectiveness from Troy University in Alabama and a
BS in Computer Science from McKendree College. She
has served on various community boards and enjoys working with kids as a youth counselor and fifth
grade teacher. And with all she’s accomplished in the workforce, she still makes it a top priority
to spend time with her family.

Karen has over 10 years
experience in both the government and non-profit sectors, including event planning and marketing,
public affairs program development, media relations, and web content management. In the course of
her career, she has developed and implemented communications solutions for the forest products,
electronic security, medical research, and insurance and financial services industries. Since her
time with
APCG, she has provided
communications expertise in support of the Defense Business Transformation Agency (BTA) and the
Office of Management and Budget's Federal Enterprise Architecture program. Karen has a Masters
degree in Communication from Trinity University in Washington,
DC, and a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications
from Morgan State University in Baltimore. She is currently pursuing a second Masters degree in
Information Management from the University of Maryland, College Park. Karen enjoys the theater,
travel, and quality time with friends. Her current passion is working to create an eclectic fusion
of urban and Victorian decor throughout her historic home in suburban Washington,
DC.

Walton has over 10 years of
management consulting experience. For the past three years he has served as the project manager for
several of
APCG's performance management,
budget performance integration, strategic communications and change management projects for several
federal clients. These tasks have focused on delivering tangible results by aligning core functions
to organization's goals and missions. Walton has a MBA from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of
Arts from Brown University. He and his wife Amy, live in Alexandria,
VA, with their two young daughters.

Jack has over 28 years of financial management experience in the Department of Defense. His assignments have included six major commands as well as the Pentagon, where he worked on Congressional Liaison issues for the Air Force. In his final active duty tour, he served as the Deputy Comptroller for the Air Force Special Operations Command. Since joining APCG, he’s been actively involved in change and transformation efforts for the U. S. Transportation Command's (USTRANSCOM) Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) project and also the Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management's FIRST implementation at the Pentagon and all Air Force major commands. Jack has a MA in Business Management from Webster University, St Louis, and a BBA from Southern Methodist University, Dallas. A native Texan, he and his wife, Sandy, live in Englewood, Ohio, where he also serves as the assistant girls' golf team coach at Northmont High School.
