Washington, D.C. — For the second consecutive year, Advanced Performance Consulting Group, Inc. (APCG) has been recognized on Washington Technology’s “Fast 50” list, which ranks the fastest-growing small businesses in the government information technology (IT) arena. APCG rose to No. 19 in this year's survey, moving up from its No. 20 debut in 2004. A small, woman-owned management consulting firm established in 1998, APCG has earned a solid reputation helping federal agencies improve business performance during a time of increasing budget pressures, regulatory compliance, and IT-driven change.
“The challenges facing federal managers today are mind-numbing,” said APCG co-founder Kimberly McCabe. “Providing mission services on-demand while keeping the American people safe from natural disasters and unpredictable threats taxes even the most efficient and effective organization. From years of working side-by-side with our government colleagues, APCG consultants have acquired an exceptional understanding of the federal environment and the challenges of operating in the digital economy,” said McCabe. “We believe that our customers appreciate this depth of knowledge and experience, and that this has translated into our continuing growth.”
“We are thrilled to be recognized for a second year,” said Ngozi Irondi, APCG co-founder. “It validates our somewhat unconventional approach to growth – a purposeful strategy of selecting seasoned professionals who are not only highly educated and experienced, but who are personally invested in ensuring that our public clients achieve the results they desire.”
Recent trends in government, such as business transformation and IT modernization, emphasize the need for effective inter- and intra-agency coordination and a focus on results-based management. APCG has carved a unique niche for itself by incorporating a results-based approach in every consulting engagement.
“Through our five practice areas, we are able to develop highly customized solutions that address distinct client needs,” said Irondi. “Whether it’s change management and communications support for a multiagency IT implementation, a performance management system for an intra-departmental program, or an enterprise-wide pay-for-performance solution, APCG draws from its complementary areas of expertise to create just the right solution at just the right scale.”
Now in its 18th year, the Washington Technology Fast 50 Program recognizes the critical role small government contractors play in serving the government IT market. The magazine’s “Fast 50” rankings are based on a number of factors that measure performance over a five-year period. Companies are ranked on how fast their government revenues (including federal, state and local) grew from 2000 through 2004.
